Rutland is a relatively unknown gem in the east of England. Similar in style to the Cotswolds, it is perfect for those looking for a relaxing escape to the country.

The area is known for its beautiful Georgian stone-built market towns and villages, Burghley House with its Capability Brown-designed gardens, Rutland Water - and its green, rolling hills.

two chapel lane is situated in the pretty village of Ketton, just four miles from the Georgian market town of Stamford. There are two local pubs, a convenience shop (with post office facilities) and church. A children’s playground is a 5 minute walk from the cottage.

Visitors have easy access to a variety of activities including sailing, fishing, walking, bird watching, cycling, golf, National Trust properties and the theatre - as well as a plethora of cosy pubs, award-winning restaurants and cafes. Stamford also provides great shopping including stylish boutiques, home-ware and specialist food shops. Local supermarkets include M&S, Tesco and Waitrose. The popular Burghley Horse Trials take place every September.
